discussion
REMARKS. — As observed by Malnate and Underwood (1988: 195), “ In having high counts of ventrals, subcaudals, and maxillary teeth, barbouri shows some resemblance to Philippine Tropidonophis negrosensis and dendrophiops ”, other characters are “ significantly different ... but are present in Philippine species of Rhabdophis. Natrix barbouri Taylor, therefore, is assigned to Rhabdophis. ”
