Remarks. This represents not only a new record from the Southern Hemisphere and from New Guinea, but also new depth records towards shallower and deeper water, as the species was previously only reported from 170 – 400 m depth. Additional specimens were collected east of Normanby Island, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea, NTUM material (1 specimen, 36.4 mm SL, St. CP 4316 - 3, 09 ° 49 ’ S 151 ° 34 ’ E, 150 – 180 m depth, R / V Alis, 3 May 2014), and in Ainto Bay, southwestern New Britain, NTUM 12132 (1 specimen, 26.9 mm SL, St. CP 4335 - 14, 06 ° 05 ’ S 149 ° 18 ’ E, 240 – 250 m depth, R / V Alis, 7 May 2014).
