Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2. — General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, north to Taiwan, south to northern Australia. Found on fine sand bottom near coastal reefs, usually in pairs, 1 – 30 m depth. Marine.
