Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2. — General distribution: East Africa east to Palau, north to southern Japan, south to New Guinea; waifs reaching Hawaiian Islands. Solitary in coastal coral reefs and on seaward reef slopes, 3 – 30 m depth. Marine.
